You know what it’s like. You wake up in the morning and look in the mirror to see new pimples on your face. Almost everyone has had acne, but few know how to really deal with it. Unfortunately, there is no easy, fool proof way of stopping acne, but I can share a few tips that I’ve learned about.

Keeping your skin very clean is the first key to acne prevention. Oil and dirt will cause acne by clogging up your pores. By using cleansers and astrigents to wash away this oil and dirt.

Another key thing is to make sure that you don’t pop any of your pimples While this might seem like a good way of getting rid of the unsightly whiteheads, this can lead to scarring, which is much worse for you in the long run I’m sure you’ll agree.

Make sure that you keep your hands away from your face. By touching your face, you add more of the dirt and oils that make the problem get worse. If you are going to touch your face with your hands, wash them first.

What you choose for your diet can be an important step in the fight against acne. It seems that certain fat rich foods can worsen acne. Ironically, there is some research to suggest that ingesting a good portion of healthy omega 3 fatty acids can lead to better skin. Omega 3 is commonly available in the form of fish oil supplements.

As a last resort, you should seek professional help in a dermatologist. They have special medicines and treatments that might work better for you. Of course, these often have unwanted side affects, but it may be worth checking into if you have a really bad case.

There are also natural acne cures to consider. These include various herbs and treatments. Some of these may be effective but I have never tried them myself.

Overall, there is no fool proof way of getting rid of acne. However, if you follow these tips, you should find it easier to keep things under control.
